This month we are presenting... Finca Parera: natural winemaking and biodynamic agriculture in the Alt Penedès (Spain). 

Rubén Parera transformed his family’s 10-hectare estate from organic to biodynamic farming, earning Demeter certification on the first visit. He grows not only grapes, but also cherries, almonds, olives, and vegetables. This diversity gives him a deep understanding of the land and shapes a style of winemaking focused on balance, energy, and letting the wines speak for themselves.

From chillable reds to savory skin-contact whites and wild sparkling collaborations, their wines are joyful, textured, and alive—always made with native yeasts, no fining or filtration, and zero additions. The calcareous clay soils of the upper Penedès give the wines a distinct minerality. Each bottle also reflects the clarity and confidence of a producer who’s found their rhythm.
